One Body Studio is one of Brisbane’s most beautiful fitness studios, empowering ‘every body’ to feel and live their best through a full and balanced exercise program. Combining the best of yoga, reformer and mat Pilates, HIIT Pilates, Barre, functional training and boxing, and bringing together an inspiring and inclusive community of trainers and members, we’re passionate about helping everyone feel fitter, stronger, and more mindful in your daily life. This stunning, interior-designed studio nestled in The Gap, looks as good as you’ll feel after just one session - with two rooms - Yin for more supportive exercises and Yang for high-energy workouts.
After seeing a need for a fitness space that’s inviting, unintimidated and makes a balanced exercise program work into her own busy life, a mum of three and former interior stylist, Vanessa Cribb set about launching the concept in 2020. And despite kicking off in one of the toughest years, the studio’s managed to build a thriving, inspiring and diverse community in less than 12 months - from absolute beginners to advanced members. So whether you may be training towards a marathon, wanting to lose or maintain weight, or just starting out with slow movement for mindfulness – we can’t wait for you to feel amazing with us!
Finding the perfect balance of yin and yang is essential for all round physical and mental strength and One Body Studio is where you will find that balance to take into your daily life.
One Body Studio is designed as two halves to make the perfect whole. The Yin and the Yang. A space that will let you achieve the ideal balance in your fitness training and overall wellbeing.
Not only a space for workouts, One Body Studio is also a space for the community to come together, whether it is to work out with your friends, meet new people in the neighbourhood or find some time for yourself. It is conveniently located in an easy to find commercial area on the main road with a bus stop nearby.
And with members from afar as Red Hill, Upper Kedron and Mitchelton, we also have members who reside in Ashgrove, Enoggera and Bardon who speak very highly of our studio facility and high level of instructors and class variety. There is a wonderful community vibe!

The calm Yin studio for yoga and Pilates and the high octane Yang arena for fast, high energy workouts like HIIT, boxing and functional training. Combining the perfect balance of both Yin and Yang will leave you feeling fitter and stronger both physically and mentally.
All our classes have a highly skilled and qualified trainer or instructor present ensuring the complete holistic approach to exercise, health and technique. They are able to offer alternative regressive exercises if you have injuries or better yet, offer suggestions to help you with rehabilitation where required.
Our Pilates Mat classes are ideal for post pregnancy and some of our Pilates Instructors are Pre and Post Natal qualified. Feel free to ask us any questions if you are ready to return to exercise after the birth of your baby, or if you wish to keep moving your body to prepare for your birth while pregnant - we are only too happy to answer your questions.
You are also able to book a 1:1 private session with any of our trainers in whichever exercise discipline you prefer. Just speak to one of our friendly reception staff to arrange this.
Room for Rent
Referring to our new space as The Gap Wellness Hub, our Consult Room is a dedicated space for local wellness professionals. We currently have a Dietitian/PT, a Naturopath and a Kinesiologist joining our wellness community.
As a client, you can book and pay for your appointment's directly with these practitioners whenever it suits you, either within OBS opening times or by contacting them for their opening hours. Keep an eye out for specials and discounts if you are an OBS weekly member!

Do I have to book my class? Yes! You can book a class through our website (go to the Timetable page) or download the MindBody Fitness app on your phone and find our business listed here. Create a log in and then book your classes. Instructions will be emailed through to you once you have created a log in.
Do you have child minding? Yes, we can arrange a babysitter for your little one while you attend a class. Please call us on 0408 883 121 to arrange.
Where is One Body Studio? We are at Shop 5, 858 Waterworks Road, The Gap.
Is there parking space available? Yes, we have plenty of parking and are also on a main public transport route.
Can I attend these classes if I am a beginner? Yes, we encourage all levels of fitness and experience. However, if you have never completed a Reformer Pilates class before, we do advise you attend at least 2 Mat classes to familiarise yourself with the Pilates way of breathing, core engagement and some of the position names.
Do I need to bring a mat for Yoga or mat Pilates? We do supply mats for these classes, however, given the current COVID19 SafetyCode it is best to bring your own. We also have Mats for sale at reception.
What sort of clothing do I need for the Yin space? Clothing that is comfortable and supportive but stretches with you as you bend and stretch into your poses is recommended.
Are there showers and change rooms? Yes, we do have a change room with a shower facility. There are pigeon hole storage units for your belongings in each space.
What do I need to bring for a class? We have a NO towel, NO train policy so please always bring a towel and a water bottle. For Reformer classes you require grippy socks, for HIIT Pilates you require your own mat and for a boxing class, you require inners (for our gloves). All these items can be purchased at the front desk.
What if I am pregnant? Congratulations firstly! While it isn’t advisable to attend Mat Pilates classes due to the heavy emphasis on abdominal exercises, all of our Reformer, Barre and Yoga classes post the first trimester are safe for you to attend. You may also continue to train in our small group fitness classes as long as your doctor has advised this is safe for you to do so. Our instructors are trained to check in with you and offer you safer alternative exercises, so please ensure you let us know when booking your class how far into your pregnancy you are.
When can I exercise again postpartum? Once you receive the all clear from your Obstetrician or GP at 6 weeks and all is well, you are more than able to join in all our classes. Some of our instructors are postpartum qualified and can guide you with alternatives if required. Please check in with the front desk staff with any queries you may have.
